Drawing on People’s Bodies at Toy Fair with Pearls

October 3, 2009 at 9:42 am (Uncategorized) (, , )

I went to Toy fair at New York City last week. I have visited the interesting booth called The Aurora, which had numbers of pearls plush there. At the booth, they offered a character-based body painting in many colors and styles. I had my son painted as Spider man and he enjoyed it so much, forget to ask for any toys there, haha.

There was many comic books selling in the festival too.  I bought some for myself as well. My favorites were the darky Batman and the greeny Hulk.

Ice cold beer was served there, and I had enough pints to get drunk in the toy fair. I had fun too. My family will definitely visit the toy fair again next time. It is truly the largest festival in the US.

I just came across this OutletEye.com website while surfing the internet. I found an interesting section on the website which is the Amazon Price Watch Tool. It provide a valuable price watching service on Amazon.com. When you find some item that you want but the price is too high and you don’t have to buy it atthat time, you can add watch (for free) for that item and then when the item price is dropped to the threashold level, their notification system will fire you an automatic email about it. Casio Waveceptor Solar Atomic watch

June 5, 2009 at 1:40 am (Uncategorized)

casio-waveIf you are interested in purchasing a Solar Powered Atomic Watch, then this is the watch of your dreams. I simply love this watch!! Over the course of time, I have owned many watches, but this one by far is a keeper. I love it so much, that I am going to purchase another one as a backup. I hadn’t worn a watch for quite some time, so when I received my new watch, I accidentially bumped into the door latch as I was turning and put a scratch on the black outer coating of my new watch. I was very upset with myself, but it was my own fault. Low and behold after a few days, the scratch disappeared and is no longer visible. Apparently the outer epoxy type material helps keep the watch semi indestructable. The accuracy is amazing, and once I reached HIGH on the battery charge, any normal light exposure (indoors or out) will keep the battery charged.
Here is a tip for you, if you have a compact flourescent desk lamp, let the watch soak up all that light for about one to two hours. Once it reaches it’s HIGH battery state, then you have absolutely no worries about ever losing battery power. Just make certain that you fully charge up the battery with as much light as possible until it reads HI on the display. As far as comfort goes, the watch is very lightweight, and it’s a joy to wear.
Casio definately did a great job when they engineered the size, shape, look, and feel of this watch. Bottom line, if you want to purchase a Solar Powered Atomic Watch, AND you want it to definately be a keeper for a vey long time, then invest in this watch. It took me about a two months of research to finally decide on this particular model, and boy am I glad I pulled the trigger and bought it. I would easily give this watch TEN STARS. If you are on the fence like I was, JUST DO IT. You will be so glad you did. Swiss Army Victorinox

June 4, 2009 at 7:37 am (Uncategorized)

swiss-armyI spent almost 4 months cruising the offerings on Amazon, Overstock, ShopNBC and various department stores looking for exactly the right watch for me, considering elements of style/image, materials, some prestige, a strong price/value relationship, and quality and found Victorinox Swiss Army to be unsurpassed. It is ruthlessly masculine, with none of the gender equivocation and frilliness of oversized watches, shiny metals, or the implied fragility of ‘dressy’ models; I like the matte finish, lightness and strength of titanium; “Swiss Made” on the dial trumps anything that is not-regardless of price; at $139 it’s a bargain (unfortunately, a ripoff at the $325 list); the accuracy is consistant, and it’s rugged enough to take the shock from the heavy recoil of large caliber magnum firearms. Gentlemen, look no further, this is your watch. Browse for Swiss army watches on watchestopia.com

Invicta Corduba Oversized

June 2, 2009 at 11:11 am (Uncategorized)

invicta-oversizedI wanted a BIG watch and this doesn’t disappoint at some 52 MM. It’s big. I have worn it casually and with suits to work — a touch tight with some shirt cuffs under sport coats. First and foremost, I like the watch. The pale yellow face and black offer a nice contrast. I’m wondering if white would have been better — not sure how I’m going to feel about that yellow in 6 months. The lines marking the minutes also give the face a bit of a busy appearance… even on something with so much real estate across the face believe it or not. Where I was most skeptical was the operation of the watch. I am very satisfied and happy about how precise the movement appears to be, including the chrono function. Very nice weight to the watch to give a sense of solidness. With the sale Amazon was running on this watch, and a $50 gift certificate, I bought this with the mindset of it being disposable after 3 months if it was garbage. I now have reason to believe this watch will be a very solid performer for a few years and maybe longer and a unique addition to my watch collection. Still would not pay $495 list for it, but if you can get at <$150 or so, I think there may be real value here. Maybe great value. This brand is new to me. My new Bulova Marine Star

June 1, 2009 at 4:27 am (Uncategorized)

bulova-marine-starI just got mine today after much debating between this and the round face Bulova 96R19 model. It was a tough choice, but I finally settled on the square face after going to Macy’s and comparing the two styles side by side. This square-face style looks slightly larger than the round-face style, in person. Also, the band on this watch is noticeably wider. It is a heavy, substantial-feeling timepiece. The watch is also MUCH shinier in person than in the photos here. I suggest looking at the WatchesTopia website’s pictures of this watch, as they are great and seem to be truer in color and clarity to the actual watch. I love my Bulova Marine Star, so far. I have had a Tag Heuer for years, and I initially looked at getting another one, but when I was browsing, I stumbled on this Bulova, and I just LOVED the styling. It is so beautiful, and it’s such an elegant, expensive-looking watch for the price.

I think it looks great and works well with sweaters, and casual wear. It does look a little flashy so those looking for a subtle watch, this isn’t for you. I LOVE IT!!! Mine doesnt have the plastic strip, its all stainless steel, however its gorgeus!! everybody loves it. See the list of GUESS watches on Watchestopia.com

My Citizen Eco-Drive Watch

May 29, 2009 at 4:46 am (Uncategorized)

citizenThis is my 2nd Eco-Drive Watch. Eco-Drive is by far my favorite watch brand. My other Eco-Drive is a moon-phase Calibre that I wear to work everyday. I wanted another watch that was less dressy, and was happy when I found this watch at a low price. However, this watch looks very nice, despite its price. Some reviewers don’t like the watchband. I agree that a leather band would make it look more expensive, but this is a military watch and the band is quite appropriate. Although the description calls this a canvas strap, the inside is coated so that it does not absorb sweat. Also, I have small wrists and Eco-Drives are the only watches that I can wear without modifying the strap. It’s VERY easy to set. It is more like a traditional watch; you only need to adjust the main crown. The other two buttons north and south of the crown control the chronograph. Seconds tick by on this watch on the small dial located just above the “6″ on the watch face. The large second hand that you normally associate with the sweep second hand is part of the chronograph. By the way, the chronograph is EXTREMELY easy to operate. One of my favorite features of this watch are the extremely large, easy-to-read numbers on the dial. Only downside is that the three small dials on the face are smaller and more difficult to read, but I think that is an unavoidable consequence of the design. Overall, this is a great watch!! This Citizen Eco Drive watch will be available exclusively through Citizen dealers and WatchesTopia.com
